Brake Lock

Accurate reproduction of the rear brake lock which was factory equipment on sidecar rigs and Servi-Cars of the 1937-1957 era. Simply attaches to the foot lever from where it engages with the floorboard stud. Also useful on solo bikes when parked on steep ground.

Mechanically operated foot brake on Big Twin models up to 1957.

Even though the pedals look completely different and the brakes on the rear wheel work differently, actuation is performed mechanically by linkages ("tie rods"). In addition to pedals, there are the matching pivot bolts and mounting plates, return springs, linkages and their joints (clevises and pins), and yes, also the locking device for the foot brake on the sidecars and Servi-cars. Custom versions of the pedals are available from Paughco and Prism Supply.
