Allow for a continous adjustment from zero to 40 mm lower than stock. It is not necessary to re-use and press-in the stock bearings as the kit comes with pre-installed new bearings. Shortening of the threaded rod is not required during installation.
To lower or rise your Softail tail section the shock absorber must be unmounted every time you wish to modify. This is not a road-side task. You need proper tools like an adustable face wrench and a 22 mm open-end wrench. A spring tensioner will ease up the work absolutely.
