2020 - SWISS-MOTO, Zurich, CH

La version française de cette histoire forte en cylindrée, en gomme brûlée et en V-Twins, est en cours de réalisation et sera en ligne le plus rapidement possible. En attendant, allez donc vous chercher une bière – ou même deux.

Taking the mountain air is always good for you, so we grabbed our alpenstocks and went for a little hiking among the Swiss motorcycle mountains, crossed the foothills of aftermarket parts and scaled the precipitous attractions that had been promised. With steady feet we climbed the three storeys of SWISS-MOTO, together with many moto-mountaineers who had decided to attack the numerous summits all at once. The views of the current moto landscape from these dizzying peaks was magnificent.

A monumental Everest of a booth was the Harley-Davidson stand, giving far reaching glimpses of a motorcycling future with their electric LiveWire, which could be tried on for size and even test ridden on a simulator. Also, the prototype Panamerica was on display.

Indian had rope teamed up with the ACE Café to give well earned refreshment to the tired and thirsty hikers.

If you thought the offerings of the big brands

too lowly, you could work your way up to SWISS-CUSTOM and provide your wrenching heart with a little inspirational oxygen. It was not the endless horizons of bike after bike so well known from other shows, here was time for the delicate flowers by the wayside which made this route so refreshing. Usually you don’t want to wrench your bike up to the Matterhorn when you’re back home, but rather find new, less trodden paths to let it shine in a new light. We went home with that summit feeling burning hot inside and can recommend SWISS-MOTO as the perfect wellness weekend for your wrencher’s soul.
