Mack Hellings was a midget car driver from the USA, and his oversized handlebar moustache was his unmistakable trademark. It’s only logical that this moustache later became the logo of the company he was involved in: Stelling & Hellings. Primarily a manufacturer and supplier of Hot Rod parts in the 1940s and 1950s, they also offered parts for fast Harleys — including risers like the inward-angled ones shown here, which were mounted on springer forks together with a special top yoke. This made it possible to install aftermarket handlebars that didn’t have the integrated cast triple tree.
Throttle Addiction from Wisconsin designed an aluminum version of the Stelling & Hellings risers that stands out from the originals thanks to its light weight. For installation, you either need a special top yoke or you cut off the handlebar tubes of an old, no longer restorable springer handlebar.
