Leaking battery acid is about the worst that can happen to your oil tank and the parts underneath it. Battery Wrap mats provide the ultimate protection here. The material combination consists of black felt material that absorbs and neutralizes battery acid plus adhesive heat barriers made from woven silica with a flexible aluminum finish. Each kit includes 2 felt mats (8 x 40” and 8 x 12”) and one thermal barrier (8 x 40”) which may be cut to size and will fit all Harley batteries.

Used on race engines to control heat dissipation of intake and exhaust systems because higher temperatures in a system increase the flow and assist scavenging. Can also be used on street bikes to protect pants, shoes or saddlebags. Different colour versions available, each withstanding temps up to 2000°F. To secure the wrap in place we also offer special Snap Strap tie wraps.

Exhaust heat wrap provides effective heat protection – and proper fastening is key. The steel clamps are especially important, securely holding the wrap to your Harley’s headers. After spirally wrapping the tape, the clamps are tightened so it sits firmly and doesn’t loosen – even under high temperatures and vibrations. Using high-quality steel clamps ensures long-lasting hold, reliably protects the exhaust, and makes sure the heat wrap works optimally.
