The brand’s roots date back to 1962, when the company - then called Per-Lux - developed high-quality electrical components. Decades of experience in ignition and drive technology led to the formation of PerTronix’s performance segment, which includes Spyke. Spyke starters are designed for high load capacity, reliable starting performance, and compact construction, mainly used on powerful V-Twins and custom engines. They combine modern electrical engineering with practical design and are established in both OEM replacement and performance/custom applications.

Spyke Super Starter Motors

High-performance starter for high-performance motors. Spyke Super starters deliver up to 200% more torque than original equipment. With an intelligent gear reduction design they increase cranking speed at low amperage draw and deliver fast, reliable starts with less battery drain. Even under bad circumstances like high compression, cold weather or poor carburetor adjustment - Spyke starters always haul.

Spyke Charging System

This charging system for Harley-Davidson features a forged steel rotor with extended splines that ensure a secure fit on the sprocket shaft. The fully encapsulated magnets are permanently protected against vibration, increasing the reliability of the charging system. The kit includes a high-performance stator, a black voltage regulator, and all necessary components for installation on Big Twin models. Once installed, the system delivers an increased output of 32 amps, as found on some models from 1989 onward. It is particularly suitable for Harley-Davidson motorcycles equipped with extensive accessories, additional electrical components, or LED lighting.

They will handle the most common terminals including insulated and non-insulated terminals, D-Sub terminals, open barrel terminals and naturally spark plug wire terminals.
