Shinko E270 Super Classic Tires

That's ... yes, exactly! The Fifties look of the E270 is not deceiving. Shinko has brought to market a reproduction of the Goodyear Super Eagle with modern rubber compound and an up-to-date 4-ply casing. The 16” version of the Super Eagle was standard equipment for Milwaukee Harley-Davidsons from 1947-1968. The strictly longitudinally oriented sawtooth tread is not only responsible for the overall optical impression characterized by classicism, with the pronounced center groove it provides straightness and chassis stability for the highway. The ample tread depth guarantees sufficient service life before the minimum depth is reached. As a typical balloon tire, the Shinko E270 is only available as a full cross-section tire. Homologation according to ECE-R75 ensures worry-free use on all bikes where load index and speed index apply.

Shinko E240 Classic Tires

With modern rubber technology and 3-ply base, the Shinko E240 presents itself as a perfect reproduction of the Goodyear Speed Grip. The 16" version of this classic was the original equipment of Harley-Davidson motorcycles in 1969 - 1980. Like the E270, whose low-profile counterpart it is, the E240 Classic's tread is designed for highway and durability. Under the profile, the base is additionally reinforced with a layer of aramid. Thus, the load index is also significantly increased compared to E270 Super Classic. Of course, the Shinko E240 is homologated according to ECE-R75.
