Matchlight Show, Eindhoven, NL
Just Like a Well-Tuned Engine...
… buzzing along, that’s what the Matchlight Show in Eindhoven feels like: The venue is set smack in the middle of Eindhoven creative quarter Strijp-S, helping the show to fire up on the first kick in its 5th year. The combustion chamber is being provided by a former production building on the ex-Philips campus, and the combustible mix consists of first rate two-wheeled fuel comprising many Harley-Davidson highlights, high end craftsmanship and customizing skills of the first order.
This high-octane fuel is being mixed
with airily distributed stalls offering sparking hot apparel and gasoline inspired art, decoration and whatnot. We pushed the combustibility up a few notches by showing off a few rare remanufactured parts taken from our catalog, and Nobbi’s awesome 55 FL Panhead, freshly remodeled during the last winter. When it came to trophies, we were proud to award our "W&W" pick to Gaylords Customs of Hohenbrunn, Germany for their inspired rigid Ironhead Sporty chopper – well done, you lederhosen dudes!
So the inner parts
of the Matchlight motor were humming along sweetly and well oiled, while outside there was a decided rise in the rpms. Rain, sun, wind, rain … time to inspect the many parked bikes, and getting a bite to eat and a drink to keep those vital functions up. Full of four-stroked memories we went home, our brains firing on all cylinders.
