Kustom Wheels Show 25

Perfection in the Pavilion

It doesn't always have to be a mega show like Born Free, an exuberant outdoor extravaganza like Old & Proud, or a walk-in-the-park festival like The Trip Out ... this here exquisite collection of mechanical masterpieces had its own unique charm. Sure, discovering it isn’t easy, but we had the advantage of local knowledge. We had seen last year's Kustom Wheels Show, and our friends from Mooneyes Spain were back again, so there was no question about going the few kilometers from our Catalan branch and stop by the “Pavelló Maria Victor” in Barcelona's “Palau-Solitá i Plegamans” district.

And as the word “pavilion” suggests, the center of the show

is an airy exhibition hall, with a large number of hand curated custom bikes parked inside, gallery style. The show was well attended, but there was enough peace and quiet to examine the bikes. There was a lot to see – and a few things to discuss: taillights in the exhaust pipes? Close to perfection – and yet weird, in a good way. The supporting program was much more down-to-earth, spread across smaller pavilions for shopping, merch, tattoos, barbecue, DJ, and yes, our friends from Mooneyes ... A perfect afternoon outing.
