Kustom Wheels, Barcelona, E
There’s a new kid in town: a brand new bike & car show, almost right across from our front door. OK, it’s our Spanish branch’s front door, and it’s 50 kilometers, but no matter: here’s a warm welcome to Kustom Wheels Barcelona in the calendar. Guess who’s behind it: yes, it’s our friends from Mooneyes. Good reason to drop by the „Maria Victor“ pavillion in Palau-Solitá i Plegamans to check out the show. The open air venue in the Northern suburb of Barcelona, Spain comes with a big roof sheltering the ball courts, an indoor hall and loads of parking space, so kinda ideal for a custom show.
Most of the bikes are from the ’hood, a few French and Swiss entries among them. It’s a good mix of clean choppers based on Knucklehead, Panhead and Ironhead motors and a few (now almost semi historic) Evos thrown in. Someone even snuck in a Triumph.
The four wheelers are parked in the open air space, DJs are pumping their stuff, Indian have organised test rides on their latest machines, there’s pin stripers and custom lettering demonstrations. There’s Tiki carving for beginners, live music, shop-til-you-drop, and of course some tasty offerings of the local cuisine. All in all a thumping premiere for a nice little show, and a well spent afternoon in the ’hood.
