Choppers Magazine
Choppers Magazine, headquartered in Los Angeles, USA, was founded in 1967 and is rooted in the original custom motorcycle culture movement. Today, the brand also produces and distributes clothing inspired by classic chopper and kustom kulture heritage.
Originally created by legendary customizer Ed “Big Daddy” Roth, Choppers was the first true custom bike magazine, showcasing radical choppers, early David Mann artwork, and contributions from influential artists such as Robert Williams. Published until 1970, the magazine became a defining voice of the emerging chopper scene and helped shape what would later evolve into the broader custom motorcycle publishing world.
In 2018, former WRENCH magazine editor Cary Brobeck revived Choppers with the approval of the Roth family, bringing the historic title back to life and reconnecting it with the builders, photographers, artists, and writers who define authentic chopper culture.
