Brembo

In 1961 Emilio Bombasssei and Italo Breda founded the Officine Meccaniche of Sombreno. This is where the foundation stone of the present Brembo company was laid. At the beginning only a small mechanical workshop, today it is a brand that is highly recognized worldwide when it comes to the production of high quality braking systems. Since, the foundation of the company Brembo has been marked by great technical, sporting and commercial success.

Always one step ahead of its time in terms of mechanics and metallurgy, Brembo, after several milestones, received its true confirmation of quality and technology in 1975, when Enzo Ferrari entrusted the Bergamo-based company with the most prestigious Formula 1 car. Already here Brembo established itself as the undisputed leader in the world of braking systems. The success story of this company is proven by its 50th anniversary in 2011. An end to this is not in sight.
