Swingarms for Big Twins with 4-speed transmission: Duo and Electra Glide and FX models.

These swingarms are available in two versions with different tube profiles: the classic round swingarm (combined with drum brake) or the later rectangular section swingarm (combined with disc brake). The swingarm with the round bars is a brilliant example of the design language and combination of round tubes with cast moldings for which Harley-Davidson is so highly regarded. Due to the upward offset axle mount, the swingarm is slightly more downward raked when installed with original shocks. The box swingarm with its square tubes, on the other hand, is a good example of the more economic manufacturing of the 1970s, under higher cost pressures.
