Cast in Canada to the highest quality standards and lined in Los Angeles by a vintage brake specialist using friction material specially developed for mechanical drum brakes. The linings are pre-arched and ground – final adjustment to your brake drum is done during installation.The result is noticeably stronger braking power, significantly better control, and longer durability.

Spring for Brake Shoes
The new 1200 cc twins from Harley-Davidson introduced in 1930 came with a new internal shoe brake on the rear wheel. On the V models, two strong barrel-shaped tension springs with movable hooks handled the return of the brake shoes. These springs, OEM part number 4050-30, were used until 1957, including on Knucklehead and Panhead models equipped with mechanical rear brakes.
