When you´re on the road a good blanket comes in handy on many occasions: you can lie on it on the beach, cover yourself at the campfire and wrap your tired bones in it for sleeping. In addition, it´s easily stowed on your motorsickle.
For 400 years, Mexican men have worn the blanket-like shawl known as a "serape" or "sarape." Over the centuries it was used by soldiers and cowboys, aristocrats and farmers as both garment and blanket – admired for its function and its beauty. Fine yarns made it lighter in weight than other blankets and unbalanced stripes of varying widths provided the characteristic serape pattern. The classic Pendleton stripe is reminiscent of the traditional serape stripes of Hispanic weaving of Saltillo, a city in Northeastern Mexico where serape weaving thrived. Made from unnapped 82 % pure virgin wool/18% cotton fabric with quality felt binding. Dry cleaning.- wool
