Complete gear sets that include all gears for a complete rebuild of a 4-speed Sportster transmission. We also offer "close ratio" sets with a special maindrive/drive gear on countershaft pairing. By altring the initial ratio from 17/27 (1:1.588) to 17/26 (1:1.529), the 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear move closer towards the 4th, which is the same as stock (1:1).
Installing kit WW# 78-175 in Sportster transmissions 1986-up requires the use of an Andrews countershaft WW# 78-110, the stock countershaft does not fit. Also required are one or two thrust washers of the group WW# 77-550 to 77-553.
