Headlights OEM Replacement

What is original replacement for a Harley-Davidson?

Since Harley-Davidson installs LED headlights, you can actually only throw away the parts when they are defective. Even though it still says "Bulb Replacement" above the section in the workshop manual, it becomes clear to the reader of the section pretty quickly that it's about complete replacements.

For those who don't have or don't want throwaway we offer reproductions of the classic parts as original replacements: 1929 twin headlights, Motolamp, Bosch types, the famous Cycle Ray headlight or the parts for the Hydra Glide and Electra Glides. Also the Sportster headlights are not missing. Plus replacement lenses, lamp rings and other repair parts.

Will the part fit my Softail or Evolution Sportster? Do you guys have the replacement rubbers for my 1985 Sportster headlight?

Yes, we do. Not only do we have replacement parts for our reproductions of classic Harley headlights, our parts fit the original ones as well. We prove this by listing the OEM number on the item pages under "Facts" so you can compare it to the parts manual. So you can see even more exactly what we mean in our descriptions.

Do the original replacement headlights have TÜV?

If you mean "Do the Motolamp headlights for the 1932 V model have an E-mark?" - no, they don't. They didn't then, and they don't now. Because they don't need one as an original replacement for pre-war motorcycles. But that also means you can't bolt them on a 1999 Heritage Softail, because they are not an original replacement for this model. For all newer Harleys that need inspection marks, there are matching headlight inserts.
