For quite a few gearheads, kick-starting is the only legitimate way to bring a Harley V2 to life. The factory itself took a rather pragmatic view of the matter: after a four-year trial period for the electric starter, the kickstarter was rationalized away on the FL(H) models. But regardless of your opinion on the matter, the kickstarter kits for 4-speed Big Twins can be used to convert or upgrade a Harley. To repair a kickstarter, there are shafts, gears, starter clutches, springs, bushings and stops, in short everything you need to freshen up or completely restore 4-speed kickers from 1936 to 1984.

Kickstarter arms and kicker pedals have their own section: pedals from original to custom to fit every arm and the kicker arms, which are also largely interchangeable.
