Every wrench encounters this problem one day - the front exhaust pushrod (sometimes others, too) cannot be inserted between valve rocker and tappet and must be lifted against the valve spring pressure into the tappet adjuster. This sturdy lever makes the job a lot easier and prevents damage to the tappet guide, pushrod, covers, etc.
