Cylinders

Cylinders for all Harley-Davidson V-Twin engines from 1915-1999.

Good cylinders for OHV engines of the 1940s to 1980s such as Knucklehead, Panhead and Shovelhead are becoming increasingly rare. We are therefore pleased to offer them as original replacements for more than 40 years in consistently good quality made from traditional gray cast iron. Also available as original replacement cylinders are those for the various Sportster models, i.e. Ironhead and Evolution. There are also reinforced and improved versions from S&S.

The brands The Cyclery and Cannonball are our guarantee for top parts for vintage and classic models. That's why our cylinders for the 61" and 74" IOE models come from The Cyclery. Cannonball offers excellent parts for the 80" sidevalve twins. The selection is rounded off by reproductions of the 45" cylinders from 1940 onwards.

Can I install W&W cylinders "just like that"?

The following applies to all cylinders: Check suitability for your motorcycle and plan for additional work. Most of our cylinders have to be bored and honed to final tolerances. To do this, you need to know the size of the pistons and add the desired or required clearance. The piston manufacturers specify minimum and maximum dimensions. Tighter clearance is good for the service life; larger clearance shortens the running-in period, but also the service life.
